Whole Again

A momentous occasion:

Parachute Pete has finally been reunited with both of his hands! Earlier today, several old Spring Arbor-ites who knew Pete from their dorm hall got together and were able to make him a whole half-man once again.

Camping, Aug. '12

Parachute Pete accompanied us on a camping trip in Fowlerville, MI last weekend. He stayed in the tent for most of it because of bad weather, but was able to get out and enjoy the sunshine on the last morning.

Scary stories, anyone?

House party

Parachute Pete brings the good times at a pizza party...and scares the tar out of a friend.

Also, had to make an amendment to the last post because I forgot to add a picture. Now it's complete.

Happy trails.

Bonfire!

This weekend, the house had its first outdoor fire, and Parachute Pete was the life of the party. After a little warming up, he really got things going during a dubstep rave.

He's got some moves.

Happy trails.

Fourth of July

This post has been a long time in coming, I know, but I had to get the pictures from a friend before I could share it.

On the Fourth of July, I brought Pete to watch the fireworks in Mason with a bunch of my friends. The show was fantastic, and might have been Pete's first fireworks show ever. You can see the excitement in his eyes.

Enjoying the show.

Happy trails.

This is how legends begin...

"Hey...I think there's a bald guy in your car..."

By this point I'm used to people being confused by my travel companion, Parachute Pete. Normal folks don't drive around with mannequins in their passenger seat, I guess.

I first met Pete the Half-Man at Spring Arbor University, where he became somewhat of a mascot for my dorm hall, Ormston, and specifically for Ormston 3. After changing ownership a few times, he finally ended up in my possession, and I've been unable to find a better home for him. So until then, he'll continue to be my perpetual passenger in the Man Van. I'm currently trying to dig up some of his past; I'll try to make a separate post detailing all that.

Anyway, the purpose of this blog is to chronicle Pete's journeys. I'll be posting pictures of Pete in the middle of ADVENTURE whenever and wherever it turns up.

Today's adventure:
Pete enjoying what I think is his first $5 Hot-n-Ready pizza. DELICIOUS.
